Brown Butter Banana Bread

Brown Butter Banana Bread

Soft and tender, this banana bread has caramel notes complementing the banana flavor.

This is a classic banana bread recipe but with one extra step to make it extra special. The caramelized milk solids in the brown butter pair perfectly with the banana flavor.

Melt butter in a saucepan, then let it cook further for around 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally until the milk solids in the butter have caramelized into an amber color. Let it cool for 10 minutes.

In a large bowl, mash up two overripe large bananas with a fork.

Add in brown sugar, 2 eggs, vanilla and the cooled brown butter.

Fold in all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt and natural yogurt.

Spoon into a standard loaf pan and add on an extra sliced banana

Bake for around 50 minutes until the top springs back when touched. Let it cool for 20 minutes before slicing.
