Brown Butter Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Brown Butter Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

These are the best oatmeal raisin cookies. They are sweet and chewy and so full of flavor.

Browning the butter means caramelizing the milk solids in the butter which brings notes of toffee to the cookie.

Once the butter has cooled, whisk in the brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla.

Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt.

Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.

Add in the raisins.

Use 1 1/2 Tbsp dough per cookie. Place the cookie dough balls on a prepared baking sheet.

Bake until the cookies are lightly golden brown around the edges but still a little soft.

Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before placing them on a wire rack to cool further.
