Chocolate Chip Cookies without Brown Sugar

Soft and chewy and delicious!

Made with brown butter to give notes of caramel and butterscotch.  Simple cook the butter in a saucepan until the milk solids caramalize.

Add in granulated sugar, egg, and an extra egg yolk, and vanilla. Beat it together until well-combined.

Mix in flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Stir through chocolate chips. (and try not to eat all the dough, cause it's so yum!)

Roll balls about 2 tablespoons worth and space far apart on lined-cookie trays. Give them room to spread.

Bake for only 9-10 minutes. The cookies should still be quite soft.  Sprinkle with flaky salt.

Soft, chewy, with the slightest crispy edge. So delicious when still warm! Swipe up for the full recipe
