Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls

Chocolate Cinnamon Rolls

They use a lightly enriched dough that's super fun to work with. It makes a really tender and soft bread.

Warm up milk, then add sugar and yeast. Add in the flour, salt, and egg.  Mix by hand or on low speed until a thick dough forms.

Add in the softened butter, a few cubes at a time. Mix or knead for around 10 minutes until the dough is soft and strong.

Let it rise in a greased bowl until it has doubled in size.

While the dough is rising, melt together chocolate and butter. Add in powdered sugar, vanilla, cocoa and cinnamon.

Roll the dough into a rectangle.

Spread the chocolate mixture onto the dough, leaving a 1 inch border.

Roll it up from the long side into a log. Cut it into 12 equal pieces.

Place in a baking tray and let rise until the rolls are doubled in size. Then bake until golden.

Drizzle the baked chocolate rolls generously with vanilla glaze.

Serve while still slightly warm. See the link below for the full recipe!
