If you like Nutella, then this hazelnut chocolate spread is a version of homemade Nutella. It is easy to make and tastes delicious.

Take raw hazelnuts and roast them on a baking sheet to bring out the flavor.

Place them in a clean tea towel and rub them together to take off the hazelnut skins.

Add the hazelnuts to a food processor and blend until they break down.

The hazelnuts will turn into a thick paste. Scrape down the sides every so often.

After 15-20 minutes, the oils will start releasing and creamy hazelnut butter will appear. Keep blending until it is super smooth and runny.

Add in the cocoa powder, vanilla, powdered sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Blend until creamy and add the melted chocolate slowly until smooth

Pour the homemade hazelnut spread into  jars.

It will thicken up in the fridge. Soften by bringing it to room temperature before serving.
