Spiced Pumpkin Donuts with Maple Glaze

Spiced Pumpkin Donuts with Maple Glaze

These donuts are the perfect fall treat. They're a baked donut that's super easy to whip together.

The donuts are finished off with a maple syrup glaze. The icing sets firm once it dries so the donuts can easily be stacked or transported

In a small bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, spices, and salt until combined.

In a medium bowl add the pumpkin puree, oil, egg, vanilla, milk, and brown sugar and whisk it together until well combined.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and use a rubber spatula to gently fold them together until all combined.

Scoop the batter into the pan with a small spoon or fill a piping bag with a large nozzle and pipe the batter into the cavities. Fill the cavities about ¾ of the way.

Bake the donuts for around 10 minutes or until puffed and golden brown and the donut bounces back when lightly pressed.

Melt together the butter and maple syrup. Add powdered sugar, cinnamon, and milk. Stir until smooth.

Pour the mixture into a shallow bowl for easy dipping. Dip the tops of the donuts into the icing,

Let them drip and set on a wire rack. If the icing becomes too thick to dip, add in a splash of milk or warm water to loosen it back up.

They are so moist and fluffy! See the link for the full recipe.
