Sourdough  Babka 

With soft brioche sourdough dough and a decadent chocolate filling.

The dough is naturally leavened with sourdough starter. No commercial yeast is used

The enriched brioche dough is easiest to knead in a mixer but it's totally possible to do by hand!

It's filled with a decadent chocolate filling made with semi sweet chocolate, butter, powdered sugar and vanilla

And then it's braided. There are a few ways to braid a babka. This post will show you two different ways

Place it in a loaf pan and let it rise until doubled. This recipe makes 2 loaves of babka so you can do different fillings if you like

Then bake and brush with a sugar glaze while it's still hot. Sprinkle with powdered sugar when serving.  Swipe up for the full recipe!
