Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls

Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls

These strawberry cinnamon rolls feature fluffy sweet bread is rolled around a homemade strawberry filling and topped with strawberry cream cheese frosting.

These dreamy rolls use a lightly enriched dough that's tender and flavorful.

Add warm milk, yeast, and sugar. flour, salt, and eggs to the bowl of a stand mixer. Fit the stand mixer with a dough hook attachment and mix until a thick dough forms. You can also do this by hand.

Add in the softened butter, a few cubes at a time. Keep mixing on medium speed for around 10 minutes until the dough is soft and strong.

Once kneaded, form the dough into a dough ball. Transfer the dough to a lightly greased large bowl and cover it with plastic wrap or a damp dish towel.

Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, around 1 to 1 ½ hours. The total time will depend on your room temperature.

While the dough is rising, make the strawberry filling. Mix strawberries, cornstarch, water, lemon juice, sugar and a pinch of salt.

Boil until thick and glossy then let it cool in the fridge.

Roll the dough out and spread with strawberry filling, reserving a little for the frosting.

Carefully roll it into a log and cut into 12 slices.

Place the slices into a 9x13 inch baking pan and cover.

Let them rise until doubled in size. Bake until golden brown.

Mix together the strawberry cream cheese frosting.

And dollop this over the baked rolls.
