Blueberry  Cinnamon Rolls

Blueberry  Cinnamon Rolls

These fluffy blueberry rolls use a lightly enriched dough and are filled with homemade blueberry filling.

And topped with a creamy blueberry and cream cheese frosting.

The dough is easiest to make in a stand mixer but you can also do it by hand. Combine milk, yeast, sugar, flour, egg, salt and butter

Once it's glossy and elastic let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size.

Meanwhile, make the filling by combining blueberries (frozen or fresh), cornstarch, sugar, lemon and cinnamon.

Cook until thick and glossy, then let it chill in the fridge.

Roll out the dough and spread with the cold filling.

Roll it into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place in a 9x13 baking pan.

Let them rise until doubled in size.

Bake until golden brown, then make the frosting.

Cream together cream cheese, butter and powdered sugar. Swirl in a few tablespoons of reserved blueberry filling.

Spread it over the blueberry rolls while they are still slightly warm.
