Cinnamon Cream Cheese Spread

A quick and creamy spread that’s sweet, spiced, and perfect for fall breakfasts. This cinnamon cream cheese is deliciously smooth, lightly sweetened, and ready so fast.

About this spread

It’s a simple twist on classic cream cheese, flavored with powdered sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. It’s perfect on pumpkin bagels, toast and pancakes. I use powdered sugar because it doesn’t leave any graininess. You could also sub in some honey if you want extra flavor.

A peek at the ingredients and why

  • Cream cheese: The base of the spread. It gives a tangy flavor and creamy texture.
  • Butter: Just a little. It adds richness and makes the spread lighter.
  • Cinnamon and vanilla paste: The star spice, and vanilla rounds it out.
  • Powdered sugar : Sweetens the cream cheese and doesn’t leave any graininess.
  • Salt: Just a pinch to balance all the flavors. I also like to add flaky salt at the end.
  • Optional: honey or maple syrup: For extra sweetness and a glossy texture.

Method

  1. Let the cream cheese and butter sit at room temperature so they blend smoothly.

  1. Beat the cream cheese and butter together until light and fluffy.

Tips and serving

  • You can double the cinnamon if you love a stronger spice flavor.
  • Store in the fridge for up to a week and let it soften slightly before spreading.
  • Spread on bagels
  • Use as a dip for fruit
  • Spread on pumpkin toast, pancakes, or waffles

Notes

Optional: Swap 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar for 1 tablespoon of honey, for a warm, natural sweetness. It will make the spread glossier too.
